I'm not gone forever!

So I'm alive, I've just been on Facebook. It's a black hole! But I couldn't resist posting my little man's first day of 1st grade pix! I can't believe how big he is! I love him so much. He is such a great helper and I appreciate the great kid he is.

fun week with cousin Kyle!

So we've been playin' really hard with our cute little Kyle! We got to have a birthday party on Friday! (We'll do anything for cake around here) He'll have another party with mom & dad on Saturday, but we had to here him sing happy birthday to himself.
We've been swimming a few times. Kyle loves it!


This pictures made us think about getting the scissors out. Don't worry megan! Every lock is safely intact!Do you see how hard we're playing! Kolby has taken him under his wings (literally) And we had a great time on the fourth of July! Kyle would point to the fireworks and just giggle! And Troy kept saying "Holy Moly! Holy Moly!" It was so cute to watch the amazement of the kids!

And just think, the fun is only half way done!

Ok, so have I mentioned how much I love taking pictures of babies? Specifically this very age of a baby! Isn't she adorable? You just want to pinch her! (Don't worry no babies were harmed in the taking of these photographs!)

Hooray the cast is off!

Ok so the cast has been off for 2 weeks today. But we've been so busy running around that I haven't taken the time to take a picture. And I have a complex about blogging without pictures. :0) I'm amazed at the body's ability to heal itself. He was walking the day after the cast came off. And now 2 weeks later, he's hardly even limping. I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for the blessings that he has given to us. It could have been so much worse than it was. Troy has had the best attitude that you could imagine a 2 year old having about it all. I'm so happy to have Troy as a part of our family. And I'm excited for him to be able to run, and play, and swim with the best of them.

PEAS!!!!

Hooray!!!! We have a garden! I was showing my mom today how excited I am that my garden is growing, everything is up and there are blossoms on my peas, NO wait a second.... There are PEAS on my PEAS! I'm a gardener! I have a garden! It has vegtables in it! THAT I DIDN'T KILL!!! I ate peas from my garden today!!!!

Raindrops on roses...

I love listening to the sounds of thunder rolling in. Marking the beginning of a summer thunderstorm. The smell of the earth, the plump raindrops splashing around, the wide eyes of my boys when the thunder claps closer, and closer. We had a good time splashing in the puddles. And just as quickly as it came, it continues on.... So we'll paitently wait for the next one.

Weeds!!!

So this is the thousands of weeds that I have let overtake my back yard. Yikes!!!

And These are Zacks weed pulling gloves. Woo Hoo!!!

And apparently this is his "little break" chair. Nice try mom!
